"Kyle's 5K Annual Race For A Memory" is in remembrance of Kyle Coggins, who passed away in May of 2003 of a sudden epileptic seizure. Kyle’s family decided to start "Kyles Benevolent Fund" in honor of Kyle. They chose the word benevolent because it truly described Kyle. His goodwill, kindness and giving spirit were present in his everyday life, and his family would like his spirit to continue after his death. The fund, which began as a way to keep Kyle’s benevolence alive, has become a source of emotional and financial help for others for whom Kyle cared deeply.

The Charities

All proceeds from the race will benefit:

C.U.R.E. -Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy. A research project has been started in Kyle’s name.

Camp Stella Maris Campership Fund - This fund is in place to help less fortunate children pay for a week of camp.
